- copy and paste the following list of words into a Word document
- search Google for their meeanings. do this by typing the word 'define' in front of the word you are looking up. For example, to get the meaning of the word internet, you'd type 'define internet'.

Today, you are going to search for and record some travel websites for South America and and Africa. You need to:
- Pick one country for each continent.
- search for some travel websites about those countries. A good search for acountry like Chile would be, "Chile travel," or "Chile Holiday." You will need to websites for each.
- When you find a good site, record its details on the worksheet. You can download your worksheet here.

week 6 & 7 - Formatting our website
Learning goal - I can create and rename multiple web pages on my website.
- I can insert pictures into my website
Today we need to create extra pages for our information. To do this, follow these instructions:
- Click Pages tab across the top
- Select, create new page.
- Type the name of the country your page will be about; don't forget to use a capital for the 1st letter, eg, Thailand not thailand.
- Click save settings
- Repeat for the second country
- click on the tab for the page you created
- drag a picture icon down from the top
- click on the icon now on your page
- select, "Upload a photo from your computer"
- pick a photo that you saved from your country
Week 8 & 9 - Compare and Contrast
This week you are going to show how your country is similar and different to Queensland, Australia.
First, look at the world map and state what direction the country is from Australia. For example, Brazil is east of Australia. Remember to take the shortest distance.

SCRATCH - Let's Dance!
This is what your script to make your Sprite 'dance' should look like. You will find the yellow scripts under 'Controls' and the purple scripts under 'Looks'. Try and change the speed of your movements to make your Sprite dance more fluently and see if you can work out how to put a speech bubble in to make it talk.
Let's Make A Sprite!
Remember the dancing cartoon I showed you guys? Well, today you start to make your own!
- Watch the video and have a go at making a sprite. I'm sure you can do a better job - more colours and features - than the bloke on the video.
- Experiment and play around. Make sure your sprite has a face (mouth, nose and eyes), some hair as well as arms, legs and a body.
- Remember you can rewind and pause the video so you can look closely at what he's doing and have a go yourself.

Snowflake website
You've got to love winter...Frosty mornings and cold nights, hot chocolate and a roaring fireplaces. If you want to decorate your room to match the climate, perhaps you can make some paper snowflakes at home. I've attached the book, Let's Make Snowflakes!, that we read in class here for you to read through and follow the instructions.
